Our Team

Herbie Oosthuizen is our Managing Director. He matriculated from Paarl Gimnasium and studied at the University of Stellenbosch where he obtained his BCom LLB degree. Herbie has been practicing as an attorney, notary and Conveyancer in Mossel Bay since 1994. He has also completed his Diploma in Company Law.

His true accolade is his years of experience in Developments from inception to the finalization thereof.

Herbie’s professional philosophy is constant good service and walking the extra mile with and for his client.

Outside of work Herbie is an avid sportsman. He has completed many full Ironman’s and most notably his latest achievement of completing 4 Ironman 70.3’s back-to-back in 2024.

Jaco Lamprecht is an Attorney in the Commercial Department. He obtained his LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2005 and practises primarily in the field of commercial law, corporate transactions and property-related matters. He advises clients on commercial agreements, business structuring and property and development related transactions, with a strong focus on practical and commercially sound outcomes.

Jaco’s professional philosophy is founded on attention to detail and the preparation of well-structured agreements that are clear, enforceable and capable of standing the test of scrutiny in any court. His approach is to ensure that agreements are carefully considered and aligned with the commercial realities of each transaction, particularly in development and property environments where clarity and certainty are essential to successful long-term outcomes.

Outside of work Jaco enjoys cycling and lawn bowls, which provide balance outside of practice and an opportunity to unwind while maintaining an active connection with the local community.

William Oosthuizen is currently in his first year of articles after completing his BCom LLB in 2025.

After school and before his studies started William was a PRO Enduro rider for Husqvarna South Africa and South Africa’s Enduro E1 Champion in 2019.

Leané Landman is a Legal Intern in the litigation department at Herbie Oosthuizen & Associates, where she supports a dynamic range of legal proceedings with diligence and insight.

She matriculated from Point High School in 2022, earned her BCom Law degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2025, and is currently completing her LLB degree.

Leané’s strong work ethic, sharp analytical skills, and ability to excel under pressure make her a valuable asset to the team, particularly in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Outside of work, Leané enjoys the outdoors and hiking, embracing nature’s challenges with enthusiasm.

Geraldine Labuschagne is a practicing attorney at our firm. She matriculated from Bergsig Akademie in 2017. She completed her BCom Law degree at the North West University, followed by her LLB degree through Stadio Higher Education.

Geraldine’s journey started with our firm in 2021. Her expertise is mainly sale of share transfers, commercial law, the contractual preparation for developments, and Magistrate Court litigation.

Her professional philosophy is that for each problem, there is a solution.

Outside of the office, she paints, plays golf, and enjoys family time.

Zancha Kruger joined the firm as an associate in April 2024. She matriculated from Point High School and obtained her LLB from the North-West University in 2021. She has since completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Estate Planning, as well as various courses in deceased estate practice.
Zancha specialises in the drafting of wills, the winding up of deceased estates, and the administration of trusts. She is passionate about deceased estate administration and is dedicated to supporting clients with compassion and clarity during the difficult period following the loss of a loved one.
Away from the office, Zancha enjoys spending time with her loved ones, reading, and runs in the beautiful surroundings of Mossel Bay.

Magdeléne matriculated from our local Point High School after which she attended the University of Stellenbosch, where she obtained her BALaw Degree in 2010 and her LLB Law Degree in 2012.
Magdeléne is based at our Mossel Bay branch and is part of our bonds department, our Estate department and our litigation department.

Mia Labuschagne is a legal intern who began working in the legal department at Herbie Oosthuizen & Associates in 2025.

She matriculated from Point High School in 2022 and began studying for an LLB degree at the University of South Africa in 2025.

Outside of work, Mia enjoys spending time with her family and going out to explore what Mossel Bay and the surrounding areas have to offer. She enjoys making music and is an avid reader.
